เขาใหญ่ คือดินแดนที่ทำให้คนเรารู้สึกเล็กลง แต่หัวใจกลับรู้สึกกว้างขึ้นกว่าเดิม

ที่นี่คือที่ที่ธรรมชาติยังหายใจอย่างเป็นจังหวะของตัวเอง ป่าเขายังเงียบสงบอย่างสง่างาม และทุกเช้าหมอกจะลอยเหนือทุ่งหญ้าราวกับผ้าขาวบางที่ค่อยๆ เปิดฉากของวันใหม่อย่างนุ่มนวล

การเดินทางเข้าสู่เขาใหญ่เป็นเหมือนการปล่อยทุกอย่างไว้ข้างหลัง ถนนเริ่มคดเคี้ยวผ่านทุ่งไร่ หมู่บ้านเล็กๆ และภูเขาที่ค่อยๆ โผล่ขึ้นมาจากเส้นขอบฟ้า พอรถเริ่มเข้าใกล้เขตอุทยาน ช่วงเวลานั้นเองที่คุณรู้สึกว่าอากาศเย็นขึ้น เสียงเมืองค่อยๆ หายไป และธรรมชาติเริ่มเข้ามาแทนที่แบบไม่ต้องพยายาม

เช้าในเขาใหญ่คือช่วงเวลามหัศจรรย์ หมอกนุ่มๆ คลุมไปทั่วทุ่งกว้าง กวางจะเดินเล่นอย่างสงบตามไหล่ทาง เสียงชะนีร้องก้องเป็นระยะๆ เหมือนการทักทายของป่าใหญ่ และถ้าวันนั้นคุณโชคดีจริงๆ คุณอาจมองเห็นช้างป่าเดินออกมาช้าๆ จากแนวต้นไม้ ร่างใหญ่ที่เคลื่อนไหวอย่างสง่างามกลางสายหมอกคือภาพที่ไม่มีวันลืมตลอดชีวิต ช้างป่าในเขาใหญ่ไม่ถูกกักขัง พวกมันเดินตามเส้นทางเก่าแก่ของตัวเองอย่างเป็นอิสระ สถานที่ที่มักพบช้างได้บ่อยที่สุดคือเส้นถนนช่วงเหนือไปใต้ของอุทยาน โดยเฉพาะบริเวณหอชมสัตว์หนองผักชี ทุ่งหญ้ารอบๆ และเส้นทางไปน้ำตกเหวสุวัต ช่วงเย็นก่อนพระอาทิตย์ตกคือเวลาที่ดีที่สุด เพราะอากาศเย็นลงและช้างจะออกมากินหญ้าใกล้ถนน บางครั้งคุณจะเห็นช้างตัวใหญ่ค่อยๆ เดินข้ามถนนด้วยความสงบ เหมือนเจ้าถิ่นที่ไม่เคยรีบร้อนอะไรเลย

ภายในอุทยาน เต็มไปด้วยน้ำตกที่สวยที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของไทย เหวสุวัตเป็นน้ำตกม่านกว้างที่เทลงสู่แอ่งน้ำลึก เสียงน้ำกระทบหินก้องไปทั่วป่า ทำให้ทุกคนที่มายืนมองต้องหยุดหายใจชั่วขณะ ส่วนเหวนรกคือความยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุด น้ำตกสูงที่ซ่อนตัวอยู่ในผืนป่าลึก เสียงน้ำดังกึกก้องจนรู้สึกได้ถึงแรงสั่นสะเทือน และตลอดลำน้ำก็มีน้ำตกเล็กๆ อย่างผากล้วยไม้ที่ให้บรรยากาศสงบและอ่อนโยนกว่า

เส้นทางเดินป่าของเขาใหญ่เป็นอีกเสน่ห์ที่ทำให้ที่นี่มีชีวิตชีวา ทางเดินจะพาคุณผ่านอุโมงค์ไผ่ ลำธารเล็กๆ และต้นไม้ใหญ่สูงลิบลิ่ว แสงแดดลอดผ่านใบไม้ลงมาเป็นริ้วๆ ทำให้ป่าเหมือนงานศิลปะชิ้นหนึ่ง เส้นทางง่ายๆ เหมาะกับนักท่องเที่ยวทั่วไป แต่ถ้าอยากสัมผัสป่าในแบบลึกซึ้ง แนะนำให้เดินกับเจ้าหน้าที่ เพราะพวกเขารู้ทุกซอกมุมของป่า รู้ต้นไม้ที่นกเงือกชอบเกาะ รู้ลำธารที่สัตว์ป่ามาดื่มน้ำ และรู้รอยเท้าช้างว่าผ่านเมื่อไม่นานมานี้

จุดชมวิวต่างๆ เป็นเหมือนหน้าต่างที่เปิดให้เห็นความงามของเขาใหญ่แบบไม่มีที่สิ้นสุด ผาเดียวดายเผยภาพชั้นภูเขาซ้อนกันจนเกินกว่าจะนับได้ หอชมสัตว์หนองผักชีเปิดโล่งให้เห็นทุ่งหญ้าไกลสุดสายตา และบริเวณโมสิงโตที่มักมีกวางออกมาหากินใกล้น้ำอย่างอิสระ

พอพระอาทิตย์ตก ทุกอย่างจะเงียบลงพร้อมกัน และอากาศเริ่มเย็นลึกลงไปในป่า การนั่งรถซาฟารีกลางคืนเป็นประสบการณ์ที่เหมือนเปิดประตูสู่โลกอีกใบหนึ่ง ไฟส่องไปตามทุ่งหญ้าแล้วเห็นดวงตาสะท้อนแสงของสัตว์ป่าเป็นประกาย มองเห็นเม่นเดินช้าๆ เห็นชะมดวิ่งผ่าน และบางครั้งได้ยินเสียงช้างหักกิ่งไม้ในความมืด ความรู้สึกโรแมนติกและลึกลับผสมกันจนลืมเวลาไปเลย

เมื่อออกจากอุทยาน คุณจะพบกับอีกโลกหนึ่งที่เต็มไปด้วยความน่ารักและความสร้างสรรค์ พื้นที่รอบเขาใหญ่เป็นเหมือนชนบทผสมยุโรป วงล้อมด้วยไร่องุ่น คาเฟ่บนเนิน และสถานที่ถ่ายรูปที่ออกแบบอย่างตั้งใจ

ไร่องุ่น PB Valley และ GranMonte คือจุดเด่นของพื้นที่นี้ เดินไปตามแถวองุ่นที่ทอดยาวไปไกลสุดสายตา มีภูเขาเป็นฉากหลัง และลมเย็นพัดเบาๆ ทำให้ทุกอย่างช้าลงอย่างพอดี ช่วงบ่ายถึงเย็นคือเวลาที่สวยที่สุด แสงแดดอ่อนๆ ตกกระทบไร่องุ่นจนเป็นสีทองอ่อนๆ สวยงามมาก

ตามมาด้วยหมู่บ้านจำลองสไตล์ยุโรปที่เป็นเหมือนโลกใบเล็กๆ ให้ทุกคนได้เดินเล่นเพลินๆ Primo Piazza คือหมู่บ้านอิตาเลียนสุดอบอุ่น อาคารสีเอิร์ธโทน ทางเดินหิน และฟาร์มสัตว์เล็กๆ ที่ให้ทั้งเด็กและผู้ใหญ่สนุกกับการให้อาหารแกะและอัลปาก้า ส่วน Palio Khao Yai ก็ให้บรรยากาศทัสคานีแบบโคซี่ มีร้านเล็กๆ ซ่อนอยู่ตามตรอกแคบๆ มีดอกไม้ประดับตามระเบียง และมุมถ่ายรูปสวยทุกซอกทุกมุม

Tuscany Valley ก็เติมอารมณ์โรแมนติกได้ดีมาก บรรยากาศเหมือนเดินอยู่ในหนังรักยุโรป แสงเย็นยามเย็นตกกระทบอาคารสีอบอุ่น ทำให้ภาพทุกภาพดูละมุนและสบายตา

พื้นที่รอบๆ ยังมีทุ่งดอกไม้ที่บานตามฤดูกาล ทั้งทุ่งทานตะวันเหลืองสดที่สวยที่สุดช่วงปลายปี และสวนลาเวนเดอร์ที่ให้กลิ่นหอมบางๆ คาเฟ่บนเนินสูงที่มองเห็นภูเขาไกลๆ โรงงานช็อกโกแลต ฟาร์มสตรอว์เบอร์รี่ และฟาร์มแกะเลี้ยงที่เด็กๆ ชอบจนไม่อยากกลับ

พอรวมทุกอย่างเข้าด้วยกัน เขาใหญ่จึงเป็นจุดหมายปลายทางที่ครบที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของไทย มันมีทั้งธรรมชาติที่ยังคงความดิบ ความสงบที่ทำให้หัวใจเบา และความสร้างสรรค์ที่ทำให้การเดินทางสนุกและอบอุ่นไปพร้อมกัน
